Classic shadow boards

Our shadow boards are built on a 3mm aluminium composite (ACM) base with a laminated vinyl surface and can be customised for different environments. For harsher workshop conditions, a polycarbonate layer can be added to protect against scratches and surface damage.

Tools are mounted using steel dowels with rubber grips, spring clips or bolt fixings for heavier items. Wall- or bench-mounted, the boards maximise space and keep floors clear while accommodating everything from hand tools to cleaning equipment.

Foam shadow boards

Coplan foam shadow boards offer a clear, visual way to organise tools. Precision‑cut foam gives each item a snug, defined position, making missing tools easy to spot and helping maintain a tidy workspace. The durable foam keeps cut‑outs intact for a long‑lasting, reliable system. These boards can be wall‑mounted or made portable with custom metal frames and castor bases.

Shadow board cabinets

Shadow Board cabinets are fully assembled, custom-built solutions for your valuable tools and equipment, adding physical security while keeping items clearly visible. Ideal for sites with temporary staff or contractors, they support quick visual checks and help prevent tool loss. Their enclosed construction protects sensitive electronic and calibrated tools in more demanding environments, helping extend tool life while reinforce good equipment care.

Rolling / portable shadow boards

Rolling or portable shadow boards provide a flexible, cost-effective option if you need to regularly move toolsets around the factory as production lines change or tools move between projects. Custom metal frames with lockable castor bases can support both classic shadow boards and foam inlays. For added flexibility, frames can be designed to support interchangeable foam inlays that are easily swapped out as production needs vary.
