Our Standards & Approach

At Coplan, we take quality seriously because our customers depend on us. We keep things simple, do what we say we will do and hold ourselves to high standards so teams can trust the solutions we deliver.

HSQE Standards & Ethics

We might be a small team, but we work with the same discipline and care you would expect from a much larger organisation. Our customers operate in highly regulated, audit heavy environments, so they need solutions they can trust every single day, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We check in on our processes often, listen closely to feedback and look for simple ways to keep improving. It helps us build long term relationships and stay open about how we work, so customers know they can rely on us when it matters. Feedback directly shapes how we develop KIT, guiding refinements, strengthening features and helping us make the whole experience better with every release.

We also believe in acting responsibly and doing the right thing, even when it takes a bit more effort. We stay open in our communication, set clear expectations and try to have a positive impact on the wider community. Inside the team, we hold ourselves to high standards too, creating an environment where people can develop, speak openly and take pride in what they do.

Our accreditations, including ISO9001 and Cyber Essentials, reflect this commitment and show that we take quality, security and ethical operations seriously.

Our Approach

With more than 150 years of combined experience supporting manufacturers, we understand the pressures that busy teams face on the shop floor.

We bring that experience and our passion for making tool control simple to every conversation and project we undertake. We work collaboratively with our customers to understand how their teams operate and what they need to stay organised and audit ready.

We spend time in their environments, understanding workflows and processes and looking closely at tooling and equipment needs. We speak with the teams doing the work to understand what works well and what could be improved and assess accessibility and storage needs. This mapping work helps us spot friction, duplication and risk together, rather than make broad assumptions or just apply a generic solution.

Once we understand the environment and workflow needs, we begin profiling the tool inventory. We draw on more than 12,000 tool records in our library to speed up this stage and ensure every item is accurately captured. With clean profiles in place, we move on to layout and design. Whether we are creating foam inlays, shadow boards or replicating existing visual systems with digital twins in KIT, this step is key to moving from organised to controlled.

We then optimise drawer space and place tools in locations that match the workflow needs we identified earlier. Once the designs are ready, we share them with you, refine them together and prepare everything for upload into KIT so you are ready to go live.

Our user centred design mindset keeps us focused on speed and simplicity, which shortens processes, reduces errors and makes tool control feel effortless. It is how we deliver on our brand promise of intelligent tool control made simple. Every feature, workflow and design choice is there to make life easier for the people who rely on equipment every day.
